My name is Dr. Frankie Banhart. I am the dentist at Dental Care Antioch. I grew up in a small town just outside of Kansas City, MO. I knew I wanted to be a dentist from a young age, because my dentist had a profound impact on my oral health and confidence as a child - from fillings to braces, all the way through high school. I knew I wanted to have that same effect on children and families during my career. I started by going to UMKC for my Bachelor’s degrees in Chemistry and Spanish. I fell in love with Kansas City during my undergraduate education and decided to attend UMKC School of Dentistry. In dental school, I learned about public health dentistry and the great need for dentists in diverse communities before graduating with a Doctorate of Dental Surgery in 2017. From the rural communities where I grew up to the urban core where I spent the last eight years of my education, my call to serving people was very strong. I spent one year at a non-profit organization treating children from ages 0 to 18, then moved on to private practice. I have been with these two offices for two years now. Outside of the office, I am a die-hard Royals and Chiefs fan, and my dog Porter loves to watch the games with me. My wife, Dr. Megan Snodgrass, is a pharmacist at the University of Kansas Medical Center. We have a one-year-old son named Arlo, and we love watching him grow and learn new things every day. I have experience treating children and people with special needs in a warm, comfortable, and welcoming environment, along with making everyone from your family feel like a part of mine.
